Apple's M5 Ultra posts 360,019 points in leaked Geekbench 7 GPU scores, beating the M3 Ultra by roughly 41% and trading blows with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5080.
Apple pitched its M5 Ultra as a major step up for AI and GPU-accelerated workloads when it announced the chip in late August 2026 alongside a new Mac Studio desktop, and a newly leaked set of Geekbench figures suggests those claims largely hold up on the graphics side. According to the leaked scores, the M5 Ultra's GPU comes out around 41% faster on average than its predecessor.
The numbers behind the gain are concrete: Apple's newest flagship SoC registered 360,019 points in the Geekbench 7 GPU benchmark, while the outgoing M3 Ultra managed 255,009 points in the same test. If the leak proves genuine, it offers early, quantified backing for the performance narrative Apple built at launch, particularly for GPU-bound workloads that matter to creative and compute professionals. Apple's launch messaging had also emphasized gains in AI workloads, which these GPU-specific scores do not directly measure.
More notable is how the integrated GPU stacks up against discrete gaming silicon. Measured against NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5080, the Apple Silicon SoC's graphics core trades blows in creative workflows, physics simulations, and photo editing. In some cases it beats the gaming card by as much as 22%, while in others it trails by as much as 100% — a spread indicating results hinge heavily on the workload at hand.
The scores remain unofficial, and leaked benchmark data is no substitute for comprehensive independent testing across real applications. Still, for buyers weighing a Mac Studio against GPU-equipped alternatives, the leak points to a graphics leap that is substantial relative to Apple's own previous flagship and competitive — if highly uneven — against one of NVIDIA's current high-end gaming cards.
